The Bay of Kotor — Boka Kotorska — is often called the southernmost fjord in Europe. Mountains plunge directly into deep-blue water, medieval towns cling to the shoreline, and baroque villages float between the reflections. It is one of the most cinematic landscapes we have ever photographed, and it is our front garden.
We know the Bay of Kotor in every light and every season. We know where the mountains create the most dramatic reflection at dawn, where the boats come in at dusk, and which hillside gives the most extraordinary panorama. This is our home and we share it generously.

Perast is a baroque gem of extraordinary intimacy — a tiny village of palazzos and churches on the shores of the bay, with two small islands floating just offshore. It was their first trip to Montenegro and Kotor Bay — we started in the ancient tiny streets of Perast and moved along the bay all the way to Lovcen national park. It was a hot sunny day but we found the shadows and the golden hour made everything magical.

We recommend 3 to 5 hours covering 2 to 3 locations. A classic route: Kotor Old Town at golden hour, Perast village and boat session at dusk, Lovcen mountain for the sunset panorama.
